Biography

Artistic Director of the Stars on Baikal in Irkutsk and the Annecy Classic Festival in France. He is President of the New Names Foundation and a member of the Presidential Council for Culture and the Arts of the Russian Federation. He graduated from the Moscow Conservatory studying under Sergei Dorensky. In 1998 he was victorious in the XI International Tchaikovsky Competition and immediately launched his impressive career. He is a People's Artist of Russia and was awarded the State Prize of the Russian Federation. He performed for the official closing ceremonies of the 22nd Winter Olympic Games in Sochi.
